The venue for Torrevieja's May fair will once again be El Parque de la Estación train station park, as last year, due to ongoing work on the city's harbour.
The choice of the station park last year was criticized by countless people, as well as some in the opposition to the government team, but the local executive justified the choice of this site by the refusal of dance groups to partially cover travel costs. However, the May Fair will be held in the station park for the second year, from 9 to 12 May, and the contract will be considered with a basic bidding budget excluding taxes of €48,766.55, which includes the installation of the electrical supply!
The number of booths planned for this event is the same as those set up last year, only 7 compared to 20 or so for the traditional event, and as a result of the significant reduction in the traditional event, City Hall has taken it upon itself to resolve the issue by renaming the event "Dedication to the May Fair."
